Founded in 1997, Arts of Vaishnava Culture (AVC) is a coalition of artists working to inspire higher consciousness, ecological awareness, and spiritual unity through music, art, and literature.

Our Teachers
Over the past 50 years, Bada Haridas has taught more than 12,000 kirtan students, sung in more than 2,000 kirtan festivals around the world, and produced 7 studio kirtan albums.
Professionally trained in classical music and jazz, he earned his degree from the University of Southern California in music composition, and was awarded a scholarship for graduate studies at the Institute for Advanced Musical Studies in Montreux, Switzerland.

An internationally recognized kirtan singer, recording artist, and inspirational speaker, Visvambhar (Vish) has a lifelong connection to India and its culture. Being brought up in a kirtan family and community, he began leading kirtan when he was five years old. Vish has a rare capacity to invoke and transmit the essence of kirtan.
Vish is a multi-instrumentalist and a master of the mridanga drum. In this capacity, he has accompanied and recorded with world-leading kirtan artists. He is the lead singer of The Mayapuris, a headlining kirtan group that has rocked stages worldwide. He is also a performer and recording artist with World-beat Ensemble and The Hanumen. Vish has shared his love for kirtan at well-known venues like BhaktiFest, Omega Institute, Wanderlust, and Beloved.
Vish has composed many unique songs, and collaborates with his wife, Vrinda Sheth, to make music and song for dances. They are currently living in Mayapur, West Bengal, India with their three children.
Sri Prahlada, a seasoned kirtan artist, began his musical journey as a child in ashrams in Australia and India. Blessed with natural musical talent, he secured a recording contract with the record giant EMI at the age of 12. Under the guidance of renowned teachers, he has shared kirtan with audiences worldwide.
He now resides in NYC, where he regularly leads kirtan throughout the city, captivating audiences with his soulful voice and devotion. Sri Prahlada's kirtan sessions not only feature musical chanting but also incorporate storytelling and wisdom from the bhakti-yoga tradition, inviting participants on a transformative journey of devotion and spiritual awakening.
