In the year 1965, an elderly swami, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, traveled alone from Kolkata, India, to the shores of Boston Harbor, USA, to bring Krishna kirtan and bhakti yoga to America.
Over the next twelve years, a series of miraculous events unfolded as he established a worldwide Krishna conscious society, with thousands of disciples, more than a hundred temples, ashrams, and farm communities, and authored seventy transcendental books.

Bada Haridas
A lifelong musician, professionally trained in classical music and jazz, Bada Haridas received his Bachelors of Music Composition from the University of Southern California, and a scholarship for graduate studies at the Institute for Advanced Musical Studies in Montreux, Switzerland.
Since 1975 Bada Haridas has studied and taught Indian devotional music. He is a celebrated Kirtan singer and performs at festivals around the world.
