How to Gift a Course

Giving a course is easy:


  1. Choose the course you’d like to give.
  2. Select Buy as a Gift.
  3. Complete your purchase.
  4. When you’re ready to send your gift, select Send Gifts from your Art of Kirtan account.
  5. Enter the recipient’s email address and add a personal message.


We’ll send them an email inviting them to redeem their course and begin learning.

Giving It for a Birthday or Special Occasion?
You can purchase your gift now and send it later.

Simply leave the gift unassigned after purchasing it. On the birthday, holiday, or special occasion, return to your Art of Kirtan account, select Send Gifts, enter the recipient’s email address and personal message, and send your gift.

Please note: At this time, our software does not automatically schedule a gift for future delivery, so you’ll need to return to your account and send it on the day you’d like your recipient to receive it.

An Art of Kirtan course isn’t something that gets used once and put away.

Students can move through the lessons at their own pace, return to demonstrations for additional practice, and continue developing their musical skills over time.

GENERAL

How do I purchase a course as a gift?

Choose the course you would like to give and select Buy as a Gift. Complete the checkout using your own information and payment method. After your purchase, you’ll have the option to send the gift to your recipient.

Does the recipient need an Art of Kirtan account?

The recipient will receive an email with instructions for redeeming the gift. They can create an Art of Kirtan account, or sign in if they already have one, and the gifted course will be added to their account.

Do I need the recipient’s email address when I purchase the gift?

No. You can purchase the gift first and provide the recipient’s email address when you’re ready to send it. This is especially helpful when you’re buying a gift in advance.

Can I add a personal message?

Yes. When you send the gift, you can include a personal message for the recipient.

Can I buy the gift now and give it later?

Yes. After purchasing, you can leave the gift unassigned in your Art of Kirtan account and send it whenever you’re ready.

Can I schedule the gift to be delivered automatically on a birthday or holiday?

Not currently. You can purchase the gift in advance, but you’ll need to return to your Art of Kirtan account and select Send Gifts on the day you’d like it delivered.

How does the recipient receive the gift?

Once you send the gift, the recipient receives an email invitation with a link to redeem their course. 

What if I enter the wrong email address?

If the gift has not yet been redeemed, check your Art of Kirtan account for the available gift-management options. If you’re unable to correct it there, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Can I gift more than one course?

Yes. You can purchase courses as gifts individually. If you’d like to give someone a more complete kirtan learning experience, consider choosing complementary courses such as harmonium and voice, or mridanga and kartals.

When does the recipient’s course access begin?

The recipient gains access after they redeem the gift and add the course to their Art of Kirtan account.

Will the gift expire?

No. The gift link does not expire.

How long does the recipient have access to the course?

Long-term, ongoing access is included with all of our courses. 

Can I gift a course anonymously?

Yes, just let us know. 

Can I gift more than one course at a time?

Yes. You may choose multiple courses, to gift to the same or different recipients.

Will the recipient know what I paid?

The gift email does not display pricing. However, course pricing is available publicly on our site.

What if the gift email doesn’t arrive?

Ask the recipient to check spam, junk, or promotions folders. If needed, we will resend the link.

Can I gift a course internationally?

Yes. All gifts work worldwide and are available instantly.

What payment methods are accepted?

All major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal and UPI.

Can I gift a course as a surprise?

Yes. After purchasing the course, you decide when you want to send it, making the surprise easy and meaningful.

Can I use an installment payment plan on gift purchases?

Our installment payment plans cannot be used for gift purchases, but you may qualify for PayPal Pay Later's installment plan. Choose PayPal at checkout and see if PayPal Pay Later is displayed as an option.
