Frequently asked questions

GENERAL

Is this course beginner-friendly?

Yes. This course is designed for complete beginners, even if you’ve never played a wind instrument before.

What type of flute do I need?

In classical bansuri teaching, students start with a bass E flute. This is because it is quite large and if you can play that, you can pretty much play anything. Our teacher Krishna Kishora advises you start with an A or G# bansuri flute. It is an in-between size and manageable for most students.
